The Coeur d'Alene Canoe and Kayak Club was founded in the summer of 2005 to establish a community for paddlers to explore the region's numerous scenic waterways, learn new skills, and share experiences.

Coeur d'Alene is situated between the Selkirk and Bitterroot Mountains in north Idaho. Within 15 miles are eight navigable lakes and a Class 2 river. The surrounding mountains hold some of the best white water rivers in the country, including the Clark Fork, Salmon, and Lochsa. The San Juan Islands and the Inland Passage are also within a day's drive.

Club activities include scenic trips, after-work paddles, long distance endurance excursions and overnighters. Safety and skills clinics are also scheduled regularly through the Spring and Summer.

Club membership is open to everyone 18 years of age and older although children as young as twelve can attend trips if accompanied by an adult. Membership costs $20 for an individual or $30 for a family and is valid for the calendar year. If you'd like to know more about joining, click here.
